WELCOME TO NAIL ADDICTION   First I want to introduce myself, My name is Kathy Doran and I am the owner of Nail Addiction.  I run & operate the company  my self in a cozy at home salon I custom built onto my house.  I have four kids, Coral 13, Kayla 10, John 9 & Kiara 7.  We have three dogs, a Bunny Rabbit and Lots of Fun.    HOW NAIL ADDICTION GOT STARTED   I graduated from Alaska's Institurt of Professional Technology on October 20, 2000 and although I was excyted to get started on my own it was difficult to leave the school.

 

I got all of my lisences and opened Nail Addiction.  I started out renting space within other beauty salons then eventually went out on my  own.  My first very own salon wasn  great, but soon after opening the building owner neglected to keep the building in safe condition and ended up being condemed.  NO PROBLEM.  We will servive!

 

I then went house hunting,  I was going to find a house that I could work out of so it would give me more flexable hours, I found the house off of Lake Otis and got the salon up & running in just a matter of days.  This worked well,  I could be at home with my kids and still work.  Clients could bring their kids and all was well as mom got her nails done in peace and the kids played outside.  I then decided to buy a house where I could custom build the salon attached to the house but not inside the house like it has been.  I bought a house at 3445 Rosella St and began to  build the salon onto the side of my house.  Construction was long &  hard, my ladies endured alot of inconvientiences but alot of them are very understanding and they stuck it out with me, THANK YOU, Without you, Nail Addiction & myself, would have never made it,

 

Well it all payed off because on March 14, 2006 Nail Addiction opened in its brand new building custom built to be Happy, Fun & Sanitary.  Now my goal is to  get people to know we are back & better then ever.  Starting over & we aim to  please so if you need a pedicure or manicure, or just want to treat yourself to a beautiful set of nails just call me & set up an appointment, You'll thank god you did.
